As I've been moving several sites from self-hosted WordPress to Blogger, I've discovered things I had accepted as normal, but are not yet available so I'd like to add the following.
There should be a way to add a contact page or a widget for a contact form. It doesn't need to be anything fancy just a simple form for name, subject, message, a captcha (not a difficult one) and a back end option to either send it to the email account registered for the blog or a different e-mail address.
In Self-hosted Wordpress this can be done through one of many free plugins. It looks like I'll need to add HTML from an external service to do the same.
